Even if they do not make it to the finals. Curry gets a pass because this will be the first time he fails.
Well, he's 27 years old. I don't think it's fair to use the "first time he's failed", he's failed every other year before last season.

For perspective, Lebron was 27 during his 2nd year with Miami, but we certainly didn't give him a pass before that.

Yes this would be the first time he failed as a NBA superstar, Curry was did not come into the league as the next great thing like LeBorn and Durant. Also LeBron came straight from High School. So he has had more time than Curry.

Well, if you're giving Curry that many benefits of the doubt, then you can't really argue Curry is better than Lebron, I'd think. You're basically stating he's in a lower tier because he wasn't as good to come right out of high school and he wasn't as good to be that much of a difference maker early on, so we don't fault him for it.

If so, then it's a fair point. But if we want to put him on Lebron's level(which I do right nowbtw), then we need to evaluate them equally.

I do not think and have not said that Curry is better than LeBron. I saw what LeBron did in the finals last year and I do not think Curry is capable of doing that.

AD is going to start getting criticism soon if the Pelicans do not start winning. Because he was a superstar from day one.

If we were picking a team out of current NBA players Curry would not be my first pick.
