this does not equal gun control

Funny how the argument "It's only a handful of Muslims causing problems, so no need to infringe on the rest of the groups' rights, and in fact loosen oversight."

Yet somehow when it's only a handful of gun owners who are causing issues, we need strict regulations, stricter background checks and heavy infringement"

Hypocrisy at it's finest.

Hypocrisy at it's finest.

They're just advocating for stringent background checks and the like similar to what many reasonable people are saying.

It's not even political it's common sense really.

Dont be naive. On the surface, yeah sure. But it won't stop there.

Agreed. Democrats that are in charge of places like New York, Detroit, and especially Chicago (where a lot of these ads will play) are doing a fantastic job with responsible gun ownership. Everyone in those cities are carefully following their strict gun laws.

ETA: a downvote in less than a minute? Great!

Where does the NRA get its money? From millions of Americans through small donations.

That's a good point. The NRA isn't getting its money from the Koch Brothers. The fact that it has so many small-dollar supporters shows the wide support in the public for its cause.

I approve this message. Maybe this will get some of the league's players to become better people and be more responsible gun stewards.

If you expect to have a logical, rational discussion about politics of any type on this board (or any board on this site)...you're gonna have a bad time.

Another screw job to legal gun owners so the thugs can continue to run loose.
