The NBA is bowing down to a group of mentally ill people that make up way less than 1% of the population or is it just how sick and PC this country has become?

Calling homosexuals mentally ill has nothing to do with being PC, most people just don't say it anymore because they have IQ's over 30 and realize it's a relic of past thinking that is no longer credible or it just arises from simpletons like yourself.

But by all means, MSB has never been a place to not let morons be morons. So feel free to continue to let loose! We're an inclusive bunch, accepting of all IQ levels, even the lowest!

The law has nothing to do with this. More left wing nonsense

it would be feb 19, which is 9 days before Fat Tuesday.

that would be so legit.

is that the date officially? That conflicts with the first weekend of Mardi Gras

The ASG is for fans and they're moving it because of a bill? Really showing them, NBA.

The law is more about transgenders, fyi, which is what I assume he's referring to.

It'll be tight, but NOLA can definitely make it happen. Do any other the first weekend parades roll into the dome?

Meh, relatively very few fans get to go to the ASG. Most/all of the good seats are controlled by the NBA and given to partners and sponsors. I get what you're saying, but it's not like a lot of fans from Charlotte would be going anyway.

I'm okay with cuz we won't have the ghetto trash coming out of the woodwork and trashing Charlotte. I call this a win win situation.

no but with St. Charles Avenue being inaccessible most of the weekend, that'll be a logistical nightmare. I'm guessing they'll move the first weekend parades up a week if this does indeed happen.

I'm sure some still go, and plenty enjoy what the event brings. Small businesses benefit. Some owned by members of the LGBT community.

Decisions like these are stupid, as frick.

How so? Don't need St. Charles to get anywhere downtown, and if anything the NBA people sponsors and stuff may want to check out Mardi Gras.

Outside of the fiasco in Las Vegas where the gang bangers from Oakland, etc came to town and fcked shite up, I don't remember any real problems with this event.
I know it's always gone off without a hitch in Nola.

I have mixed feelings on this whole issue. I wish people would quit being so PC and getting their panties in a wad and pushing their agenda, but on the other hand the folks in your state were given fair warning and didn't do anything.
It's a good win for Nola.

Meh. Not saying I agree with the NBA pulling an event 7 months before, but they let the NC state gov. know loooooooong ago that they were prepared to pull the event if the law didn't change. The law didn't change so the NBA is sticking to their word. Silver knows what he is doing. This isn't exactly a knee jerk reaction.

Not trying to get into the merits of the law at all, we can bring that shite to the poliboard.

This is so fricking stupid. The law says boys use the boys room and girls use the girls room in PUBLIC facilities.

THERE IS NO DISCRIMINATION!

The bill isn't just about assigning bathrooms to biological gender:

quote:

The law also excludes LGBT people from state anti-discrimination protections, blocks local governments from expanding LGBT protections, and bars all types of workplace discrimination lawsuits from state courts.
