One of my good friends from high school is there competing in his first NFR in bull riding.

Very good friend of mine and Sulphur tiedown roper Shane Hanchey is competing, he's also a huge LSU fan and is often sporting purple and gold and uses LSU music for his entrance/exit music. He'll also be carrying the Louisiana state flag this year for the grand entry which is very excited about as this dude is proud to be from Sulphur, LA. He's won a world championship and 2 Canadian championships plus won the inaugural ERA world championship a few weeks ago plus many more titles. Rodeo will start each night at 9 PM on CBS Sports. I can't wait to head out to Vegas next Wednesday to catch rounds 7-10. He sent me the link so he also reads Tigerdroppings to keep up with all LSU news.

I was wondering how Hanchy is getting to compete in both prca and era events. I thought a judge had ruled that they couldn't compete in both. I'm guessing joe beaver will explain to me tonight. Always look forward to watching nfr

You could compete in both as long as you were not a stock holder in the ERA if I remember right. Good friend of mine will be there as a pickup man for the second time to

Had a fishing guide down in Lake Charles this summer who told me he and the old lady were going to Vegas to get married and watch the rodeo finals. He was a good ol' baw from Lake Charles area who was on the McNeese rodeo team. Someone on here is bound to know him lol:

Yes that is correct. Several cowboys gave up ERA ownership to get back and ride PRCA but had to forfeit PRCA winnings from before the court ruling. Not sure who else next year but I know Tuf Cooper is back ring in PRCA events for the 2017 season.
