I agree. Who knows, maybe Almirola will be a very good driver and RPM was just holding him back.

It's pretty alarming to see how sponsorship driven NASCAR is now.

It was sponser driven since day one. You don't have the money backing and you don't race. How is that alarming?

It's alarming because NASCAR has become so expensive that without sponsorship, it is virtually impossible to run that team. Furniture Row Racing may have to shutter the 77 after one year due to sponsorship. That car could be a formidable car in the next few years, but we may not see it. It's alarming that some drivers have sponsors attached (Almirola, Menard) and do not put up the results to keep a ride. Yet they stick around.

I'm a little late on this but Tyler Reddick is leaving Ganassi to run for JR motor sports in xfinity.

Kasey Kahne will race for Leavine family racing in 2018. That's the #95 car Michael McDowell is in right now.

Kahne has begun the downhill slide. He'll never have a top-level ride again.

What happened to Kahne? Wasn't that long ago he seemed like a new up and coming driver.

How funny is it to read that Richard Petty won 200 Monster Energy races on his career? It's like they think racing fans have zero memory.

RPM has named Bubba Wallace as the full time driver for the 43 in 2018. I'm glad to hear it.

Good for Bubba.

Still can’t believe Matt doesn’t have a ride for next year

I think Kansas was a microcosm of his Career... shitty crew chiefs after Reiser. Not taking anything away from Jimmy but he may have had 1 or 2 less championships if Matt had a competent crew chief to go along with his talent.

I think if he wasn't worried about putting DeWalt in a bad light he would have told Brian France to go frick himself with the idiotic rules and the uneven hand enforcing them after being parked.

Danica Patrick is also retiring at the end of this year but will race in next years Daytona and Indy 500's.

Nascar losing quite a few well known names the last few years.

Maybe it’s just me but I wish I could’ve seen her on a team where she wasn’t the worst driver in the stable. Seeing her at Roush with Stenhouse and Bayne would’ve been interesting.

And a shitpot full of fans with them if the pics of the stands during the race are any indication.
