I've already told you multiple times the rationale behind the AD's decision. I've also stated that I did not agree with it. I would love to play ULM to finally shut their fans up.

Right...why accept a conference slot in a crappy CUSA conference? ULM deserves something better than that....ULM is trying to better themselves on a national level...so settling for some less than the best conference does them no good......see the irrationality in that position???

You see, but our athletic program is actually somewhat relevant unlike ULM. That's why we are already in a conference ULM won't ever step foot in

if ULM actually believed they had a shot with the SEC, truly believed, you would want them to accept a CUSA bid? no, of course not.

what a dumb comparison

Yeah, you are relevant now because your AD is an idiot. Even the Mailman is pissed, so yeah, you guys are making news. Congratulations on making yourselves relevant.

La Tech is relevant? News to me.

You guys are more delusional than any other fan base represented on this website.

Why couldn't ULM get in CUSA?

Is it TV market? I live in Houston and Rice hardly gets any mention around here. Some of their games are on regional Fox Sports, but that's about it.

Just like every fanbase, the small vocal minority is the most visible. I assure, most Tech fans and/or graduates are not as delusional as the idiots on BBB or some of the posters here.

Here is a history lesson for the young guns that I find interesting.

In 1996 Notre Dame was playing for a chance to go to the fiesta bowl but lost there last game of the season to USC to finish 9-3. They got offered a spot in the Indy bowl instead and turned it down because they thought they were better then that. This was Lou Holtzs last year coaching at N.D.

In 1997 Notre Dame went 7-6 leading to another Indy bowl invite to play " gasp" the 9-3 Lsu Tigers. They had to except the invite, rolled into Shreveport and didn't score a Td getting stomped by Lsu 27 to 9.

So now La Tech at 9-3 has done the same thing Notre Dame did back then. So does la tech think they equal Notre Dame now because they don't. Notre Dame at that time was an end of an empire. The fall of Holtz and the Irish to only now recover this many years later. It was wrong what n.d did and its wrong what La tech did and both should have known their place.

My final point is next year La Tech when you have a new coach, young team, and go 6-6 or 7-6 in a tougher conference you might be begging for an Indy bowl invite and you need to know where you standing college football.

Learn the lesson Notre Dame did back then and don't turn down any bowl bids unless you know for sure there is some place for you. What Notre dame did was a slap in the face to Shreveport and the Indy bowl and now you have done it. The difference is you did it to a market that you always complain does not support you and you would love to have their support.

No wonder Shreveport is an Lsu town and y'all don't get to bitch about it anymore.

Salmon...it would be delusion for ULM to believe they had a shot to get in to the SEC. It is likewise delusion for Tech to believe they are a national power...or that they were guaranteed some bigger bowl...not after losing their last two games, and after posting no wins over a team with a winning record. That was my point.
