Damn, that was fifteen years ago? I was 9 at the time, but remember watching it with my dad.

Are we really going to get into the forward pass argument in this thread? Dyson stepped back and caught the ball at the 25 yard line, right in line with or slightly behind where the ball came out of Wycheck's hand.

How is this still being debated? The ball leaves Wycheck's hand at about the 25.5 yard line and it's caught at the 25. It's clearly a lateral.

More angles and explanation

See above....

Clearly a lateral. Even with room to spare.

I was there. Not a Titans fan, but my mom lived in Nashville at the time and we went. Still the greatest play ive ever seen in person. So much fun that day.

How embarrassing it must be for Houston folk that such an unaccomplished sports city was able to steal away their precious Oilers.

You're probably right. The Jags were the best team in the league that year but couldn't beat the Titans. Crazy turn of events that year.

I'm a Titans fan, but I've always thought the Jags were the best team that year

Go watch video posted by The 25 Jersey...

Lateral by half a yard. How people still refute this is beyond me. They see the players and don't realize or refuse to acknowledge that the path of the ball is all that matters.

It is my favorite player not affiliated with any of my teams. Definitely a lateral by the way.
