thanks. btw, i had a feeling the caps would pull out of that slump you were in early. i know the record was crap early on but they were not that far behind points wise and now? there they are. yes a weak division helps but it is what it is. once the playoffs start anything can happen.

I wasn't worried about the Caps bouncing back, they were far better than their record. I was worried about running out of time in a short season. At 7 points after 11 games, the Caps needed, reasonably, 47 points in the next 37 games. That's about a 105 point pace over an 82 game schedule. They had to play great just to get in the conversation.
del Zotto apparently not even gonna get a hearing for the headshot to Neal. Assume I've made the same rant I've been making all season regarding the NHL's piss poor efforts to protect players from head injuries.

Pens just clinched playoff spot with Buffalo's win over NJD.

That game went about as perfect as I could have hoped. Ovechkin tied up with Stamkos now after a win. Things are loooookin good. But we need to beat a legitimate team outside of the SE in regulation.

He deserved it. Horrible horrible start and it was all on his shoulders and he handled it terribly, luckily the Caps are in the worst division in hockey and can still can get in.
