There aren't any FCS teams in Wisconsin or really much in the midwest, outside of Illinois. A lot of those midwest teams probably get a lot of FCS level players I would think.

True. I firmly believe if UWM or Marquette fielded a football team most of the kids going to Whitewater would be going to those schools.

DIII feels like about 10 teams compete nationwide. 
And 8 of them are just there to fill the schedule.
