Alright, maybe so, but that doesn't diminish any of the facts.

This isn't really addressed to Camron, but I figured I would reply just because he started the thread. I don't really understand why LSU is getting listed by several posters.

Although Perriloux, Giddens, and Zhamel Thomas were arrested a few years ago, the team's arrests pale in comparison to the Florida, Tennessee, and Georgia. Derrick Odom and Xavier Carter are clearly thugs as well, but that is a grand total of 5 people who have played in the past five years.

With the notable exception of Cecil Collins, who played on the team over a decade ago, very few LSU guys have gotten into trouble with the law after finishing school. Please don't try to argue this point by pointing out that Kevin Faulk was carrying a couple of joints in his jacket when he went to a concert.

Very few recruits that have come into the program are known for being trouble makers (Willie Williams, Daniel Hood, Fred Rouse, etc).

FIUs first season was 2002 and in 5 years they started the biggest fight in college football.

Funny thing is that there was a huge fight at an Ivy League game that same weekend, yet the word "thug" wasn't tossed around...

BTW, on Oct 20, 2006, Dartmouth and Holy Cross were involved in a massive brawl. It started when those thuggish kids from Holy Cross celebrated their win over Dartmouth by disrespecting them by dancing on the D in the middle of the field.

Here's some video of it: LINK

Here's a story about how the cops were getting involved:

Yet, no one calls them "thugs", but they want to call Miami thugs for defending themselves.

Uhhhhhhhhhh. Ok they're thugs. Now onto the real debate. Which team is the most thuggish in the nation?

It's just interesting that on the same day as the infamous Miami/FIU brawl that everyone is pointing to as the reason that Miami is "thuggish", that brawl took place.

Yet, no one calls either of them "thugs".

Probably because no one knew about it. Most only know what they see on SportsCenter.

Why are you surprised that a story about Dartmoth and Holy Cross got overshadowed by a Miami/FIU brawl?

Do you not see that Miami and even FIU are more relevant schools on the national scene?

I called the Holy Cross/Dartmoth players "thugs" so now we can move past the racial issue.

Yes, seriously.

Holy Cross performed an act that would have been deemed as "thuggish" on this board, but there is no talk about it.

1. Nobody notices ANYTHING holy cross or dartmouth does in sports.

2. Miami is one of the most high profile football teams in america, despite their recent slip in success.

3. Miami has a long-standing reputation for thugish behavior, and even embraced and openly marketed this behavior in the Jimmy Johnson era. They WANTED this image for a while.

4. This wasn't even an isolated incident for miami in the last several years.

i know it's a lame attempt by you to play the race card, but this is just a terrible attempt. If you remember, even the Southern-Florida A&M brawl got vitrually no national coverage. Why? b/c nobody gives a shite about them? Same as dartmouth and holy cross.

Dartmouth/Holy Cross had national media coverage because it took place on the same day as Miami/FIU. There were some posts about it on here when it happened, but no one called them thugs. shite, man, I posted links to the stories on ESPN.com, for frick's sake.

And I didn't "play the race card". It was already out there. Read the fricking thread.
