Dude Patrick Ewing was a beast. I dont see anybody calling him the GOAT but he was really really good. He was terrifying at Georgetown. He was huge and fast and mean AF.

How is he overrated?

I think I'm consistent with my premise here - I didn't say he was not a good player just that IMHO many perceived to be an all time great when I didn't see it that way. More of an all time good to me. Your opinion of him to me is an example of that, obviously we disagree.

The runaway winner. She lost to 16 year olds kids.

I can't stand her, but truth is, they lost as a team, not as an individual.

The whole U.S. Women's Soccer Team is a joke when high school boys can take them out-------easily.

Willie Mays, Babe Ruth, Ted Williams, Mickey Mantle, Lou Gherig, Ken Griffey jr., Ty Cobb, Sandy Koufax,....and lets be honest, Pete Rose....should've all been unanimous....but you can't vote for Pete like Joe Jackson. Jeter and Rivera were blessed fro
This take is just so freaking bad. Comparing how they were voted in vs. modern-day players, "OMG, Ruth didn't get 100%, so no one should!!!!" Rivera was considered the best reliever to ever pitch, comparing him to his peers. Then yes, he deserved the 100%.

There’s still the dynamic of a guy already getting 90+ percent doesn’t need the votes as much as a guy struggling to get over 5% or almost at 75%

With that, voters don't know until the results. So many still don't make their votes public, and even the guy on X who tried to calculate votes is wrong by a lot, and he is only going off public votes. Knowing a certain player was near 75% the year before and is almost off the ballot, yes, I could see someone not voting for a sure thing in order to give that one person a nudge. Eventually, I would like to see all votes made public so these voters have to explain why they left off certain players; those individuals who are petty and turn in ballots with 0 people nominated need to have their voting rights removed.

I'll go with Ronda Rousey. She was good for a while, but once Holly Holm showed how to kick her arse, it was all over for her in MMA. Holly KO'd her in the 2nd round inside the first minute. Her next fight was against Amanda Nunes and she got starched in 48 seconds.

The part about her was the fools that bought into her invincibility and some actually thought she could get into the boxing ring and beat Floyd Mayweather-----------which was totally insane.

After getting her arse beat twice in a row she went to what passes for Pro Wrestling and made some money there where the winners are determined before they step out of the dressing room and nobody really gets hit hard.

Who says Patrick Ewing is an all time great?

I never see him on a list of the all time great centers. I dont think anyone considers him top 5, maybe some have him as fringe top 10.

You missed his biggest accomplishment: dicking down a lot of really fine looking women.

Derek Jeter is so far from overrated it’s insane anyone could even mention his name. Not only was he an all time great player, he was an all time great leader. And fwiw I HATE the Yankees…but I respect the hell out of Jeter, more so than any yankee since the 60s.
