Just saw this RIP MM

One of my favorite players growing up. He shot like 20 free throws a game if I remember correctly.

Loved Moses in his prime. Unstoppable when he wanted to be.

Is it bad that I initially read it as Karl Malone and felt kind of ok about it?

Peter Vecsey? Verified account ?
?@PeterVecsey1 Caldwell Jones, Darryl Dawkins & now Moses Malone. 76ers' centers within a 10-season frame in the 70s & 80s pass within a year of each other

64, 58, and 60 when they died. Add Jerome Kersey at 52 to that list. All relatively young at time of their death by today's life expectancy standards.

RIP big guys of the 80s

Professor Malone and his student Hakeem Olajuwon in the lab at Hofheinz. The classroom was at Fonde Rec Center.

Dude played for 20 years. I remember him on the Spurs in 1995.

Which is counterintuitive, because tall people have lower risk of heart disease. Maybe inflammatory processes linked to the jarring their body took over the years? Maybe after having to be in shape for so long, they completely let themselves go? Hell, maybe just random chance.

I think black men are more susceptible to heart disease.
