I'm told his triple doubles are not very impressive because his teammates don't try to rebound free throws so that he can get them.

Rebounds are the most overrated stat in basketball. How often do you see a player shoot a pull up jumper and it irons out into a players hand with no opposing player within 10 feet?
Contested rebounds should be the official stat.

What's incredible is that a point guard leads the league in def rebounds of free throws. 
it's like come on man don't make it so obvious that you are chasing triple doubles. He knows that's his only chance at MVP bc CC is a much better team.

At last glance Westbrook leads the league in uncontested rebounds. And also has the highest % of uncontested rebounds of any player in the league.

There you go. I'm not a Westbrook hater by any means. I just hate the fact that people drool over rebounds. All rebounds are not created equal.

Clearly James Harden's teammates are selfish AF and they won't part ways and allow James more free throw rebounds. Lack of chemistry will be their downfall imo.

IT shouldn't be but that's the narrative the media has ran with. Notice when the season started and Russ was getting alll these triple doubles he was MVP favorite largely bc of the triple doubles. James notices that and says to himself 'oh I see how it is'. And in the last month James is now matching him almost one for one. It wasn't james idea to make it a triple double competition. But since that what the meida is turning it into, well you see harden making up ground.
