Hopefully Norris brings in a good batch of prospects.

Braves in the market for a lefty.

A lot of teams in holding patterns, so probably won't be much smoke until the weekend.

Pretty sure the Cards will make a run at Peavy

I saw they had scouts in attendance recently.

White Sox are in a weird spot. They were pretty good last year, and now awful with basically the same team.

Rios is almost certain to be gone. They could ship off Ramirez, Peavy, Crain and others as well.

It's about time to start tossing McCann's name out there to see what the return is. He's played very well this season, and I could understand wanting to hold on to him for our World Series run. However, we need to strengthen our bullpen and rotation and if he has to go to do so, then I think we need to pull the trigger.

Cubs may be narrowing in on a deal to send Soriano to NYY. Cubs have scouted Yankee minor leaguers P Chase Whitely and IF David Adams.

Most of the Cubs not named Rizzo, Castro and Samardzija (and possibly Wood and Jackson) or on the block.

They're getting old and need an influx of young talent. They have a few attractive trade pieces, Kenny Williams better not f- it up. That farm system is nothing to brag about.

Yeah but I think Courtney Hawkins will be a good one at least

There's a couple of other guys that look to be pretty good but they've had some crappy drafts. If Williams doesn't get some solid hauls after doing a fire sale, I think he could possibly be out of a job imo. I'd push hard for Martinez or Wacha in a Peavy deal... among others.

Not even sure he's calling the shots anymore now that Rick Hahn is the GM.

Well, it's kinda weird and not really talked up.

I'm sure Williams still has his hands all over everything.

I agree with this. There's no way the Braves are ever gonna sign him for the market value. I hate to see him go but we need to get some value for him instead of just letting him walk.
