Upton pulled from game. Ross is still pitching.

Mets have had scouts at a few Reds games scouting Bruce. Not sure it's him he's talking about, just laying that out there. I realize they've probably had scouts at a lot of teams games.

I figure Leake will be moved tomorrow, or a good possibility of it.

How's the Mets farm system? Would they look good in Navy and Gold?

Mets have arms... Gomez to the Mets would help but I wonder if Mets add more from the Brew Crew

Lind?

I think the Brewers would need a little more than Deolis Guerra, Philip Humber and Kevin Mulvey that the Mets traded for Gomez in 2008

Their farm is meh

Matz, Conforto, and Syndergard were their top guys and they are all up now. They no longer have a gem in the minors

Zack Wheeler may be a guy that goes. They got a guy named Brandon Nimmo OF who is probably their best prospect now

Gomez should command a nice return. He is the best position player available IMO and he is under contract fairly cheaply next year.

Cespedes > Gomez

No question

People need not forget Gomez is a loose cannon mentally and brings a lot of antics to a clubhouse too while Yoenis is the opposite of that. Not to mention he's having a pretty bad season in a very hitter friendly park, whereas Cespedes is having one of the best years of his career and in a huge park, same age.

ZIPS and Steamer have them as a push the rest of the year. Cespedes has been better this year, but Gomez the past two. I think you could make a case for either, but it definitely isn't a slam dunk.

You mean Yoenis' rookie year and 2nd year versus years 6-8 for Gomez? Is that surprising?

Yoenis has only been in the Majors for 3 full seasons, hard to compare someone to him that is in his 9th season with Cespedes being a late bloomer, and continues to get better and better.

Isn't Cespedes a FA next year? That fact alone makes him more viable to a team trading.
