I've been seeing shite online about he might go first overall and he's easily clocking 102 on the radar without exerting himself. He's supposed ot be a really good athlete as well

just how good is he? and why would the twins not jump at drafting him if he is that good

He's a two way player and is a lock to go #1

Because he's a high school pitcher. Only one HS pitcher has gone #1 overall in the last 25 years. High school pitchers are notoriously risky investments.

He is not at all a lock, folks think Minnesota are considering Wright from Vandy

Greene throws hard and is a good athlete but he's a high school pitcher without a lot of polish on his secondary stuff

I don't intend for this to be a hot take, but some of these great all-everything Amateur 'phenoms' at SP have kind of stunk lately, at least early in their career.

Giolito, Glasnow, Urias

I don't think urias has stunk at all

He's still younger than those guys and was still pretty damn valuable last year

He'll go top 3, probably to the Reds but I think his family wants him in San Diego.

ETA: McKay from UofL and Wright from Vandy will also be there.

Plus the Twins don't have the best history of developing young pitchers. The last good young starter they had who came through their system was Matt Garza and that was over a decade ago.

why does it seem there is an early pick curse on black kids at the top of the draft?

yeah, Urias's balking arse performed well last year.

Bundy has seemed to turn it around as well after getting healthy. Hard to believe the O's sent him to the Bigs within a year of HS all those years ago.

Not gonna lie the first time I heard about Hunter Green I was expecting a big white country flamethrower. He would be a first round position player if he wasn't a pitcher. He has good fastball command for a guy that young throwing that hard. What might stop him from going 1st in the draft is some scouts think his off speed pitches are pretty average.
