Does anyone know if the MLB is forcing the Astros to have the roof open for the World Series games in Houston? I remember them doing that in 05 and I'm hoping that they don't force us to have the roof open this time.

Domed DH baseball is the pure brand of baseball we all dreamed of playing as kids. It's a shame they ruined the home field advantage rules with making then ASG not count and so we are forced to watch hitters bat the majority of the fall classic

It should be closed. The current weather forecast falls under the established criteria for having it closed.

I'll never understand why people want to see pitchers bat .093 and remain in the lineup day after day. Give me the DH over someone who can't hit and/or run bases.

It's about strategy and depth. In the NL, you're down 1-0 in the 6th with runners at 2nd and 3rd. Does your pitcher hit or do you pinch hit? How's your bullpen? All the contingencies and thinking that make baseball great are heightened in the NL.

Having the all star game decide home field was the stupidest rule ever created in sports, but the first frickin year it’s not implemented would of course be when Houston reaches the World Series

Used to preach all of that my entire life while Houston was in the NL

Took less than 1 season after moving to AL to realize how wrong I was. So miserable having to watch pitchers at the plate 99% of the time. Especially when it kills rallies

I’ll give you the strategy part though
