Why do you think Vrabel was left out? That one definitely surprised me.

It's official. Bill Belichick will not be a head coach in the NFL in 2024.

Mike Vrabel as well. Wild.

if the commanders were going to go the defensive retread route, I probably would have opted for Vrabel over Quinn but hey.

I understand teams passing on Bill, Vrabel seems odd but maybe he didn't aggressively pursue any of the jobs once the Pats and Chargers were off the table. Take a year off and wait on a job you want because it may be your last shot at one

I can see Vrabel wanting final say on personnel or roster moves which may have gotten him left out in the cold.

Bill isn’t really surprising to me, who wants to give a 71 year old guy full control, who knows how long he would be there

And the only good hire was Harbaugh and maybe Macdonald.

Vrabel is going to enjoy the shite out of taking a year off then he'll be a top 2-3 candidate next year during the coaching cycle and get a pretty good gig.

In the interim, he's going to get shite housed drunk and chain smoke cigarettes at Richland Country Club in Nashville, which is currently what he does during his off time.

Maybe they’re waiting to see what Andy Reid is doing after the SB… would probably be the best head coaching spot in the NFL

You are assuming Andy Reid doesn't retire in a few weeks.
I believe if Chiefs win it all again, Reid is retiring.

Belicheck is salivating at the opportunity to lead a team with another all-time QB to get him easy wins for his win record.

You really believe the Chiefs would want Belichick? I sure don't. I think they'd go with an offensive mind.

Belichick not getting hired after interviewed twice was clearly a payback for 28-3.

You'd think Vrabel maybe had a shot here because these retread hires are straight garbage.

And the Saints are sticking with a lame duck for another year. Never change, Saints. Never change.

The more I learned about the power struggle in Tennessee the more it became less surprising. He wants to be Bill and have all the power, he just hasn't really proven himself to that level yet. So as a GM, if you know you might be hiring someone with the aspirations to be your future replacement, why hire him?

With bb demanding personal power, he was never going to be hired.

I think he knew that

Correction, Mike Vrabel and Bill Belichick will not be head coaches at the start of next season. We don't know about the end of next season.

That just means the Saints can hire Vrabel or Bill once we dump Dennis ALlen next season.
