Says product sucks, Cowboys-Packers set a ratings record going back 20 years.

I think LeBatard and other critics were looking for fodder based on the expectation of Tomlin going easy on Brown due to the fact they are both Black "Look out for a Brotha, coach".

I didn't turn out that way...

Curious you'd use one game with 2 nationally popular teams rather than the whole season of declining ratings

typical NFL, manufacture something to talk about, a story because the game sucks

Just popped in because my pet died and I need to distract myself. Saw the story on msn and the picture of Tomlinson is, let's say, unflattering and funny.

Why did it overtake a 20 year old record? Have there not been great matchups for the last 20 years?

In terms of team popularity none come to mind. Also had star power. Game was close from what I understand. Big win for the NFL.

It was the Packers against the Cowboys... two of the top four highest draws in NFL history... do some homework... the overall product sucks....

Is it entertaining? Or is it a blowout? That probably will influence things.

Since you're obviously going to angle for the old days of the NFL, did you sit down and watch all the shitty matchups?

Yeah, I'm not taking it well. Bashing the NFL is already making me feel better

It was a good one. I tend to take this position by the way because this board has a nasty habit of turning into a circle jerk on the matter. I have no problem with someone disliking the NFL for reasons that actually make sense. Too many on here hate it just because it's fun to do.

The Cowboys faced the Packers two years ago with the same stakes on the line, yet the record was just set.

Damn... Can't remember the last time a player of ABs caliber got blasted in a PC before a championship game by his own coach.

If AB didn't realize what he did was a big deal, he does now.

Ben had some choice words as well.
