Mike Tomlin on Antonio Brown video: Like to say the language on the video is regrettable, by me and by others

quote:

Ed Bouchette ?@EdBouchette

Tomlin: Antonio Brown . . . "it was foolish of him to do that, selfish and inconsiderate. It was violation of our policy, league poilicy"

quote:

Ed Bouchette ?@EdBouchette

Tomlin: Will punish Antonio Brown, internally, and may be consequences from NFL in that regard.

quote:

Ed Bouchette ?@EdBouchette

Tomlin: He has to grow from this. He works extremely hard, he's extremely talented and those things get minimized with incidents like this

quote:

Ed Bouchette ?@EdBouchette

Tomlin: He's a great player, respected largely in the locker room but incidents such as this don't help him in that regard

quote:

Ed Bouchette ?@EdBouchette

Tomlin: That's often why you see great players move from team to team. Don't want that to happen to Antonio Brown.

quote:

Ed Bouchette ?@EdBouchette

Tomlin: Haven't seen AB yet. "I will see him at some point and when I do, I will address it."

Damn... Can't remember the last time a player of ABs caliber got blasted in a PC before a championship game by his own coach.

If I was the coach I would speak to Antonio before this and let him know I'm gonna put him on blast in the PC so there isn't any fallout in the locker room

Why because Brown violated some trust? You violate trust you get repercussions.

Example, If you broadcast an argument between your siblings live, you do not think they would not comment publicly about it? There are just times things are not for the public's knowledge.

But he is sending a message, sorry Brown was a moron about it. But you get treated like you have acted. Especially in sports, you know this.

I'd guess that him saying he hasn't talked to Brown is hokey. They played Sunday night, the story was everywhere yesterday, and now he's addressing it today.

He can play good cop to AB and bad cop to the press, and when AB speaks, he can say "yeah, we talked about it and we're moving forward, blah blah"

I think Tomlin has showed in his 10 year head coaching career that he knows how to handle his locker room

He probably did not see Brown, as they could have been given day off. Just rehab and weights. As the coaches did film breakdown and study.

WCA as far as being handled in private, Brown made it public so Tomlin is making it public. I do not have an issue with Tomlin at all, Brown to me is the one that screwed up.
