How in the frick can you possibly be in favor of REWARDING Alabama for losing by double digits at home?

When you recognize Texas also had a loss and it was a loss to a two loss team, not a one loss team. When you recognize the other 25 games played involving Texas and Alabama and over those 25 other games, Bama had a stronger resume.

So you tell us.

Ok so it doesn’t matter that Alabama lost head to head to Texas by double digits at home?

That shouldn’t even enter anyone’s mind?

It absolutely does not matter to him

Classic Leach. This was from back in 2017. Hit the nail on the head back and still rings true today

The ending was great

Of course it matters.

So does Texas’ loss to OU.

So does Bama’s wins over 3 top 15 teams.

You look at all the games. Bama’s resume was obviously better.

Exactly. Bama could lose to Michigan and he’d be finding stats to cherry pick to still have them in the final.

Bama didn't play Oklahoma.

Perhaps the funniest thing about this link is the Washington State will enter next season with one of the highest likelihoods of getting in

Bama’s resume is inarguably stronger than Texas’. You cherry pick one game to hold above the other 25 as the one that “really” matters.

Good point. Bama had to play a tougher schedule and had to beat 3 top 15 teams while Texas was essentially given a free loss to the only other top 15 team they played.

So you say, and to support that they had to play...Texas was it?

Take Bama off of Texas’ schedule and see how far their SOS falls. Take Texas off of Bama’s schedule and see how far Bama’s SOS falls.

The lowest ranked Big 12 SOS is 70. The lowest ranked SEC SOS is 42.

Rekt again.

Bama SOS was 31 before they played #1. They'd have a similar drop off if you removed #3.

Sorry Meatballer, but your point sucks.

FSU couldn't win a playoff with this squad, whether 4, 6, or 12 teams, in 10 tries.

You “think.” But that’s the beauty of sports, you don’t “know.” Otherwise, what’s the point of even playing the games.

And I guarantee, if you’re intellectually honest, you would have have said the exact same thing about TCU last year after they lost the Big 12 CG to K-State after Dugan had somehow dragged their way to last minute wins since their bye in September. Their luck had finally run out and EVERYBODY (my hand is raised), YOU included thought they had zero chance against Michigan. Michigan would beat them 10 out of 10 times. Except, oops. Not only did they beat Michigan, they dominated them. Because as much as we THINK we know, we don’t.

But I don’t agree with your premise anyway. Florida State’s defense is fricking good and can play with anybody. And they appeared to have stepped up and raised their game after Travis went down. Louisville’s offense was averaging like 33 points a game coming into Saturday, and FSU’s defense dominated them like they were a middle school team.

And that FSU defense was the only team that really slowed down LSU’s offense all-season. Only have up 24 points, and 7 of those were due to a garbage time 75 yard TD pass with a minute and 15 seconds left when the game was already over and they had their backups in. But even including that, LSU scored more points (28) in 3 quarters at Bama than they did the entire game against Florida State (24). And playing defense against LSU on grass in front of 90,000+ screaming toothless Tuscaloosans is a lot than doing it on turf in Orlando in front of maybe 40,000 Seminole fans. Jared Verse, and the rest of that DL—the rest of that defense—plays.

As far as offense, their 3rd string freshman QB played against Louisville, but that shouldn’t be a factor because their backup would have been back for the playoffs. Hell, he’d have been back this week.
And yeah, he didn’t light the world on fire against Florida, but the dude had like 4 days of practice as the #1. Is it not conceivable that a talented kid white a good coach and month of preparation and game planning could put together a winning formula? With that defense playing complimentary football?

I mean, they’ve got a likely top 15ish pick in 6’3” 215 Coleman on 1 side, and future NFLers out there with him in 6’7” 240 Wilson and 6’3” 240 Bell. Those are 3 fricking freaks. AND they’ve got Benson at RB that will probably be a top 3 RB taken in next year’s draft. I’m not saying I’d bet on them to beat Michigan, but if you don’t think those dudes with a month to prepare wouldn’t have a shot at anybody in the top 12 in 10 tries, we’ll then you’re dumber than all frick and apparently have never paid any attention to college football, or sports in general.
