Remember when the main event would go short and there would be a standby match?

There's some awesome instant play wrestling documentaries on Netflix. "The Rise and Fall of WCW", the one on Ric Flair, and the one on Roddy Pipper were great. The WCCW/Von Erichs, Dusty Rhodes, Road Warriors, and AWA documentaries are also real good.

In high school, I went to the tv tapings every other Wednesday at Irish McNeal's gym in Shreveport. They filmed two shows back-to-back.

Cowboy Bill Watts (his worthless son, Joel, was tried at everything including refereeing), Boyd Pierce, Reeser Bowden.

Anyone remember when the Midnight Express and Jim Cornett tar and feathered Magnum TA?

Hacksaw Duggan has an autobiography out. It has some good mid south stories.

You always new an injury was bad if the injured wrestler started foaming at the mouth. I.e Ted Dibease get a brainbuster on the concrete and Robert Gibson getting hung from the top rope by Humongous. Don't forget Mike Boyette or Frogman LeBlanc.

It's all he had in his closet, I would see him in the same outfit at Wal Mart!

Speaking of clothing choices I always enjoyed Boyd Pierce's rose-embroidered lapels

Are you talking about Eric? Watts was STILL trying to push him as a wrestler when he took over booking for WCW in the early 90's...

Skandar Akbar and Devastation, Inc. was the group. Skandar had that fire thing where he burned eyes etc. That was first time I saw Kamala and Friday.
