Oh, this happened, and still does some places. We've had this happen in the United States. I find it odd that you didn't refer to 'these people' as innocent.
Next, as I do believe this stuff still exists, it's foolish to assume it's getting worse. It's actually getting better. We have technology, and more means of finding out who the scum really is.
Lastly, I still think Bennett's a liar. He is pushing his agenda. It's in his best interests to sensationalize a story.

This is tough, because I generally have such a strong distaste for Michael Bennett, and wouldn't be shocked at all if he embellished things.
But if this is true, and the majority of us just completely dismiss it, it is a terrible look.

I see you are uncomfortable with those that make generalizations about a group of people (blacks) but yet you have no problem generalizing another (police). Seems that you have taken a side based on generalizations derived from your past, much like others are doing here. Are all AA's guilty of crime? No. Are all police officers guilty of abusing their power? No.

I personally believe a large percentage of the high profile ones were innocent or that excessive force/bad policing was used.
I never said it was getting worse to pre 1964 levels, but we did just elect a president that is hellbent on modernizing those pre 1964 conditions. And a base that is misplacing their economic and cultural resentment on POC and not the inevitable hands of time and change and innovation.
He has no reason to sensenationalize a potential life or death situation like that? I'm sorry, but as group, a group invested in their identity, they usually have no reason to fabricate conditions like this because they collectively relied on one another for survival.
You can't look at this as if it were a regular non POC doing this. end goals are different and patterns of survival are too (collective vs individual)
