This fight will NOT....repeat NOT happen as long as Pacquiao is with Top Rank. End of Story. When Pacquiao leaves Top Rank, the fight happens instantly.
Floyd Mayweather and Golden Boy Promotions (Oscar De La Hoya / Richard Shaefer) despise Bob Arum and will not let him get rich off of their fights. Floyd and Oscar were both promoted by Arum early in their careers and had really ugly legal battles with Arum before leaving Top Rank and forming their own companies.
Pacquiao desperately wants (and needs) this fight with all his tax troubles. His contract with Top Rank ends on December 31, 2014. Pac will fight 2 times this year under the TR banner and he will leave and join Golden Boy in 2015 and the fight with Mayweather will happen.
My guess is the fight happens in September 2015. Floyd is fighting in May and September each of the next two years so I'm sure Floyd will wait til the final fight of his Showtime contract to make the big fight finally happen.

Link? No one has confirmed that he is actually broke. For all we know a majority of the money could be in undisclosed off-shore accounts. I wouldn't blame him. Being taxed in the U.S. and Philippines is bullshite.

When there's that much smoke, there's fire.
Ever notice how much Pacquiao is talking about Mayweather now? shite when the fight was in high demand in 2010, 2011 Pac stayed silent. Now all of a sudden he mentions Mayweather's name in every sentence.

How is there that much smoke? All I've seen is that the Philippines are trying to go after his remaining assets. That really doesn't confirm anything.

Pacquiao is going to end Floyd's career.
