Buster Olney said that Gabe Kapler is the early frontrunner.

Kinda like the thought of a younger guy taking over the job.

Gabe Kapler instantly in the running for "most yoked manager of all time."

what has Gabe Kapler done that makes him an ideal candidate?
His only coaching experience was in the 2013 world baseball classic... Tim wallach should be the guy

Martinez and Kapler have to be the front runners. Both have the same drawback, lack of managerial experience. I am glad they got rid of Mattingly. He handled the players and their egos pretty well, but he was one dumb SOB when it came to in-game management.

We say that about almost every manager... I can't say any manager is great at the in-game stuff.... Part of me thinks Matti gly struck bad luck, this year with Puig hurt, the injuries to the staff this year, etc. Of course I am bias since I like Mattingly.

mattingly was definitely not the sole reason for our disappointing season but i cant help but be disappointed that we were not as active when maddon was available
