Has anyone been watching. Marlins just came back from3 runs. Upton made a huge catch for Detroit. Oh and dee Gordon Is by fAR the best 2nd baseman in the nl.

Die hard Marlins fan here.
I love me some Dee Gordon.
And yes, Stanton's bomb (I'm not sure this guy ever hits a HR that can't be considered a bomb): Stanton hits the moon

I might be crazy, but I think Gordon might make a run against him for best player on the Marlins

He's definitely more consistent and manages to stay healthy.

That run down.... I'm not sure I ever have seen that before. Great job, Dee!

I wouldn't say by far. He is the best but LeMahieu is right there with him

csb, but saw him play in HS and knew his dad from a past job. Was a hell of a player at LSU too and wish him still good luck in the pros

I thought DJ would be a solid pro. But he has far surpassed my expectations. A .300 hitter with a gold glove already.

quote:he had a great year last year but a lot of that can be attributed to the fact that he had a babip of .383 which was the highest amongst all second basemen and is 40 points higher than his career average. this really wouldnt matter if he could draw walks but he only walks 3% of the time.

however, his defensive improvement was impressive and if he can keep playing the defense he played last year he will be a valuable player, but he just isnt better than stanton

Another bullpen meltdown with all new pieces for Detroit. The most surprising thing last night though... Anthony Gose crushed a home run. Did not see that coming.

That middle infield is incredible to watch. Him and Hech make incredible plays on a weekly basis.

Gordon can fly out there. Watching him cover 1b on a bunt coming from second was impressive.

Marlins are a pretty fun team to watch when everyone is healthy and management isn't sending players down to the minors for money reasons.
They just never seem to win the close ones.
ETA: Followed them last year. Bailed on them for the Pirates this year.

I know. But last year was painful. Sending Ozuna down just to avoid paying him was the last straw. Gave up all hope in that team.
As a casual baseball fan with no allegiances, I don't want to go through that again. I want to watch a team that wins.
