Marlins hire Don Mattingly

I think it's a good move. He may not be a hall of fame manager ever, but it's not his fault the LA crowd ate him alive because his players sucked in the play offs.

For Mattingly, the good is that he is going to a team with some young talent, and the most dynamic power hitter in the game (when healthy)

The bad is that it's the Marlins, a team with possibly thw worst owner in baseball. They burn through managers. He signed a 4 year deal I say it'll be a miracle if he's there 4 years.

Hopefully that POS owner stays out of the way and let's his manager manage.

Don Mattingly hates Fidel Castro so he should be ok.

Reasonable people won't have high expectations, but Miami is where managers go to die.
