Been a Marlins fan all my life and I just can't take it anymore. Everytime i get excited for the team Loria just screws it up.

Anyways so now i'm moving on to the Astros... Yes i know they suck, but they are close to home and i can go see a game every now and then. Could anyone help me out by giving me a quick rundown of what prospects to be looking forward to within the organization and what might be some bright spots in the upcoming season
TIA

You sound spoiled. You guys won two World Series with a very small market. What else do you want?

Welcome aboard if you're picking a team, I'm not sure why you'd pick Houston but I won't complain. If nobody does it before me, I'll bump this later when I have more time and give you info on prospects.

Quitter

I'm a Saints fan who lived through Mecom (the sports equivalent of surviving Dachau)

A chance to see the AL teams play in the Juicebox. Bright spots within the Astros are going to be few and far between.

If winning is all that matters, who would you choose the Astros?

I'm guessing that regional distance doesn't play that large of a factor since you were a Marlins fan. Just become a fan of the Yankees or someone that you know will spend to keep you in the running.

Usually I would scold you for jumping ship but I don't see how more Marlins fans won't do the same considering what that organization is doing. As a Stros fan, watch our for Jon Singleton, Jarred Cosart, Delino DeShields, Jr., Carlos Correa, George Springer, Rio Ruiz, Lance McCullers.

Bandwagon. I mean hell they won a World Series in the Modern Era. Now he's giving up

He should try being a Royals fan. We haven't won since 1985.

Jeffrey Loria is baseball's Angel of Death. He destroyed the Expos, and he'll destroy the Marlins. At least other bad teams, like the Astros, are legitimately trying. Loria is just scamming the city for a stadium, and in a few years, he'll cash out richer than ever. He is the worst person in sports.

You should stick with the team, good and bad. I've also been a Marlins fan all my life. I'm not going anywhere. And really, the Astros??

frick the Marlins.

The stadium cost the county Billions. Made us travel way too far to see the Dolphins and UM play football.
It was completely paid for by us because the marlins weren't making any money until it leaked that they made millions the year this deal was done.
They are paying near nothing now. Attendence isn't even up that much.
On top of royally screwing us, they go out and sell everyone, and now have a horrendous reputation as a team so no one will want to play down here.

Dude is gonna get paid. He got hundreds of millions from the taxpayer's vastly increasing the value of the franchise in a future sale, then slashed and burned all his expenses to make sure he is also profitable each year going forward as well.

Hell of a businessman. All about the bottom line and frick everything else.

Samson (Marlin's team president) will be on LeBatard today. He will be asked about Buehrle's comments about the Marlin's lying to him and I am sure he will give his standard answer of "things change".
