Mort reports that Dr James Andrews found a labrum tear which requires surgery which will end season. Just on Sportscenter.

Best for everyone. Now he doesn't have to deal with a QB controversy all year.

Except for Sanchez. Since he's done there he should fricking go off on Rex for putting him in the game.

I never understood why that was a big deal. So he ate a hotdog on the sideline... so what?

Ha yea that would be a two second comedy blip on SC MAYBE for most QBs.

But now he can eat all the hotdogs he wants.

Is it possible that Dr. James Andrews is a Jets fan? Maybe he is able to lie every once in a while due to his tremendous credibility. Go in there, and tear the labrum, only to stitch it back together. Brilliant.

What was he going to do? Hold a clip board all year and face questions from the media after every game about how he feels being a back up. While injuries suck, it's in a lot of ways a better alternative for him.

Now he can go home, rehab, get his on training crew, get cut by the Jets, and try to get a fresh start elsewhere.

Job saver for Rex. When they sucked with Sanchez, it falls on Rex's shoulders. When they suck with Geno, he can blame the growing pains of a 1st year QB.
