no surprises...Polls at this time are meaningless.
For Ryan Day to keep pumping they beat the #5 team in the country, while true, really doesn't mean a thing now.
Just hype!

Oregon at #11? Is UGA that good?
Utah @ #7? Really?

But, it is what it is

Just saw a headline “USC’s resurgence”

All because they took care of the mighty Rice yesterday. Good grief.

I wish rankings wouldn’t go in till at least week 4.

By then everyone would have a better understanding of the top 25

Aggys at #6 may be the biggest farce. They look weak everywhere.

Once again trying to pump Pac 12 to justify their power 5 status. Next talk will be USC in the playoff if they win out in the PAC 12. Only to get destroyed in the first game.

They have to sell papers. You want them to tell the truth? “Alabama and Georgia are still head and shoulders better than everybody else”

UGA was impressive

I wouldn't want to play Utah.

UF has to recover and play UK next week, we will see.

OSU will be in playoffs

ND played way above what they are...1st game hype or good coaching? Not sure yet

It's been a wild 1st week (week zero is dumb)

This is why we love college football.

FLA. Arkansas, and Tennessee all got a big confidence boost to build on this week. We need to take care of business and get ours. These opening games are huge and can set the trend for the first few games of the season.

I also think the pre-season rankings were bogus. Even more so this year. Some teams were obviously correctly placed. But others not so much. NC State 13? Utah 7? There are others.

I’d love for you guys to eliminate the “obvious farces” and then put together a top 15 with what remains.

Utah went on the road at night and was a play away from beating the gAtors ….. doesn’t make them overrated…. Who you want there ? Once you get away from bama Georgia and maybe Ohio st it’s just good teams who can all beat each other

Didn’t deserve a thread so I’ll drop it in this catch-all topic.

How about that Iowa’s offense is unbelievably bad. They beat South Dakota State 7-3 on a FG and two safeties…166 total yards. Woof.

Looking at some of the teams ranked in the teens (NC State, Pitt, MIami, etc) its absurd that more talented teams like UF and LSU werent ranked in the top 25

I think Arkansas looked average. Gonna be tough to win in the Swamp.

Poor field goal kickers cost several teams upsets. It’s such an overlooked part of college football. Ours has me nervous…

My takeaway is that the polls are irrelevant and there are a lot of good QB’s in college football this year that will make this season very interesting.

They literally play NoONE until Notre Dame the last week of the season. Utah in the middle of the year, but they aren’t anything special either. They should cake walk into a 10 win year if they are anything close to average.
