Southeastern is going to a regional for the second straight year
Football team has been in the playoffs the past 3 years and won the conference the last two

I'm sure you knew this though considering how terrible of a poster you are

Media guys in the area are so lazy, neither one of these guys is qualified to be a head coach

@FletcherMackel: Legendary skipper Ron Maestri to officially retire after coming out retirement to lead program in 2013. Asst. Blake Dean possible successor.

@RandyRosetta: With Maestri riding into the sunset, I would be shocked if #LSU assistant @willd52 isn't a serious candidate for the UNO job. He's ready.

Although Mackel can rarely be taken seriously, there is fire to the smoke on Dean. And if Mainieri is publicly touting Davis for his alma mater, consider it a possibility as well.

UNO had the best college baseball team in Louisiana in the 1980's.

They also had the 2nd best basketball team in Louisiana most of the 1980's, and well into the 1990's.

All of this at a commuter school with almost a zero fan base.

It's sad how far things have fallen. Things were well on the way down before Katrina. I don't see things ever being even remotely close to the success enjoyed in the 80's and 90's.
