Weren't they a private school when they first started? How does a school change its enrollment structure like that?

Well there were some guys in charge and they were all like this is bullshite I don't wanna be private anymore.

And then this other guy was like yeah... let's just be public instead.

And then the first guy was like alright let's do it.

And then so they did it and are public now.

It's a charter school, which means it is technically a public school. I'm not sure what criteria are in place for admissions to these types of schools, since they operate independently of traditional district guidelines.

A certain percentage of kids must live within the district boundaries.

Could have Charter Schools win 3 of 5 titles in the Non Select next week. Madison Prep, Karr, and Landry Walker all have very legitimate shots to win. In fact they're likely the favorites.

I've been to probably 11-12 championship weekends in the Dome. Granted, all were including either 5A West Monroe or 5A/4A Neville on Saturday nights. But all had similar vibes. I rode over with my father in law to watch--maybe Mangham--and we walked right in in the 2nd quarter and sat 50 yard line about 10 rows up. Could not have been much more than 1,000 there. If that. It was so sad. I had never seen the Dome so quiet. Was weird. And depressing. The split sucks.

It was bad. Like, really bad. Would be much better off to figure out a way to play it at a participant's home stadium. But "the Dome" is such a symbolic goal that it'd be a shame to remove that. frick the split.
