Love how Madison Square Garden still uses the organ heavily

While most places are piping in hiphop garbage MSG still pumping the organ for half the game

A Knicks game at MSG just sounds different

Trae murdering poor Taj reminded me of this

Shame they remodeled it 10 years ago to look like every other arena. RIP OG MSG and Boston Garden.

Why The Blender doesn’t have a live musician playing is bewildering. DJs playing 15 second of hits is so bland.

I really wish the Celtics would have overhauled the Garden but kept no music, only organ and no cheerleaders. Watching old games from there the crowd was buzzing the entire time, even for bullshite regular season games there was constant noise. I get it was a dump but it’s not the same now.

I hate the Knicks, but I used to love watching Knicks game on TV in the ‘90s because of that organ. Organ music is so much better for just about every big 4 sport except football.

They should have a jazz pep band that plays boosie.

The Smoothie King Center is a bland, sorta outdated arena, the team sucks, and the crowds DGAF, but New Orleans is a unique city, and games should reflect that.

Paid $12 for a beer at MSG 10 years ago. Can only imagine what it costs to get a family of four through the door now.

MSG's the most overrated/overhyped arena in sports. Even before the renovations it was a bland dump.

Yeah you watch any of those battles between the MJ-led Bulls and Knicks in the 90s and that organ is playing almost non-stop in the 4th quarter to get the crowd going.

Yeah, watching Bulls-Knicks, Pacers-Knicks, Heat-Knicks was fun then because of that atmosphere. The style of basketball sucked, and I’m sure MSG lacks the amenities of the newest arenas. And I can’t imagine what it cost to go to a game there. But I loved the atmosphere and that organ.

the crowds DGAF,

Did you even see the playoffs last year?

Honestly the Knicks this year are the Pelicans of last year…

It’s not sorta outdated, it’s straight up old. Opened before 2000, and I’d put it behind every newer one that I’ve visited. It’s also below MSG, and IMO worse than Salt Lake City and Cleveland.

I’d estimate it to be at bottom third.

They tore down original Penn Station for two teams that hardly ever win championships and for an organ.

APPALLING.
