West Monroe also has a great defense, but their offense is MUCH better than Rummel's. I think WM wins by 10.
WM - 24
Rummel - 14
This is the best team for WM since the 2004 team that lost on a missed 2 point conversion to win the game.

I don't think Rummel's offense scores twice on WM. Their defense might score twice though. WM has to not turn the ball over in this one.

Where the hell do you grow these guys?

No, that's not why they did it. They did it to try and bankrupt both schools. The theory was Curtis and Evangel have 1A-2A enrollments. They were getting a lot more money by playing 5A schools with larger crowds. Basically they would bring their 1,000 or so to a crowd of 10,000 and get a 50/50 split.
this
the 5A schools, of which some I am a fan of, want you to ignore Curtis and Evangel (and you should). They don't represent the ideal of HS football in the state of Louisiana. It's about tailgating, tradition, gumbo and jambalaya at the concession stand, homer PA announcers, one town against the next town, parish against parish, long drives on two-lane highways around dusk through the backwoods to get to exotic destinations like Bogalusa, Ferriday, Clinton, or Many.

thanks for linking the pictures..
The whole game looked like this. 8 Fumbles the whole game combined by both teams.
and this is what ended Westgate's run to the DOME.

Got to watch the film huh? Not sure where all of the height comes from to be honest. The weight comes from iron. Not uncommon for kids to start lifting in summer camp in 2nd-3rd grade.

Yeah.
Felt like I spent 15 hours trying to solve a quantum physics problem yesterday.
Jordan Allen
Chuck Hunter
Jonathan Tyson
Etc.......
Ridiculous. Imo, this team is much better than last years edition.

Well then I wish they had more farms down here.

No, those are piney hills country boys. There aren't many farms west of the Ouachita.

I honestly don't know of a single farm in West Monroe. Nice generalization though.
The rich white kids that go to George Welch, Drew, and Kiroli usually make up the lines. That's where the beef comes from usually. Then the running backs tend to come from Riser and now Riverbend. Seems to be this way every year.
The scary part is of the guys you listed, Burdeaux has been wreaking just as much havoc.

How many people from West Monroe will be coming? I'm pretty sure everyone from Metairie will be there.

Well, it won't just be West Monroe because Neville plays the game before. I would expect 20,000 minimum since WM usually brings 15,000 to the Dome. I wouldn't be surprised if attendance records are set this weekend.

The weather was certainly a big help to Neville, Lutcher couldn't throw in that mess.
Maybe. Might have had an affect on the 0 but I dont think it had an affect on giving up 42 to a team that didnt throw a single pass

I guess a lot of people from South La. think of WM as the country because it's so small. The farmland in Ouachita parish is East Ouachita, and West Ouachita. And, there's very little in those areas.
