Why are they so good? I grew up literally a stones throw from Haynesville across the border... 20 miles. Had to drive there to get booze for years.

But why and how are they always so good? And how do they consistently compete with South Louisiana schools?

The towns a dump... Not exactly booming... I've been through there hundreds of times. All they got is a Chick-a-dilly

Coach Franklin created a beast in the that town by getting the everybody involved in the success of the football team. Every kid dreams of growing up to play and prepares for the day they finally get too. The little league football coaches coach the same plays that they eventually run when they get to high school.

This will be interesting considering I was born and raised in Haynesville and still have a large majority of family there. I will hold off to see what I have heard for decades from people outside of town. Great question for the masses!

I'll be damned. Made the same drive to J&Js quite a few times. Sorry I can't help to answer your original question.

I'm from Texas but dads side of the family is all from that area. Family has 1300 acres between Homer and Haynesville

Never see them mentioned on here so figured this was my chance

These are largely the sons and grandsons of former players; good genes have been passed down.
