Those were close games but La. Tech's schedule has not been "brutal."

You cannot say they are undoubtedly the second best team when their best and only win came against Central Arkansas.

Like I said, they may win put from here so we will see. I just think you are looking too much into the record.

Houston and Southern Miss are both borderline top 25 teams
they are not top 25 teams

houston is MAYBE about the 40th best team in the country and Southern Miss is prob around 60

Mississippi State is a top 25 team.
no. they are not

I'm not saying they won't have a good season or that they haven't done well in close games, but you can't say they're undoubtedly better when they're 1-3

Yep, ULM's losses:
at Florida State
at TCU
at Iowa

At least we're getting some checks.

that doesn't mean anything.

Receiving 2 25th place votes, doesn't make you a "borderline top 25 team".

While I will generally regard Tech as the second best team in the state the past 5 years I think the Cajuns have them this year.

Looking at the numbers I would say ULM has teh best defense while ULL has the best offense.

Monroe is giving up 31ppg against FSU,TCU,Iowa whereas Tech is giving up 30.5 against USM,Hou,MSU and ULL is giving up 31.25 against OSU,FIU,NSU.

Brutal schedule is stretching it, right now I would say those rankings are about right, we got credit for being competitive in all our games but fact is we could not close out the games and lost.

With better weather I think we beat Southern Miss., but you have to play in what you get that day. We blew the other two by not finishing the game out.

Right now, through September, I would put us as third in the state. This is just the second year back in an air raid offense and we have a 17 year old QB so we should continually get better throughout the season. With Boise gone and Nevada not having a replacement for Kapernick (sp?) we have a chance to rack up some wins in conference but we have to learn how to finish games first.

Better team based on what? What leads you to believe that Tech is better then ULL or even ULM for that matter?

It's not just the final fricking score you dumbfrick

You haven't watchd tech play a snap this year so you have no idea what you are talking about.

They way they played against these teams that were supposed to blow them out is what sticks out. This isn't LSU where the only thing you care about is the outcome. Was it disappointing they lost to state, well yeah but they were a 20 point underdog and took it to ot

I mean your're right...We don't have any room to talk. We're 1-3.....I guess just watching the past two weeks and observing all teams on TV. I don't believe ULM or ULL would be within a point of beating Houston. And I certainly don't think either would take Miss St to overtime. Like we stated 3 losses by 9pts to teams that would more than likely beat ULL/ULM pretty good IMO. But we're 1-3 so it really doesn't matter, we can't have an opinion with that record....I really was impressed with ULL this weekend, after watching the Nichols game, I didn't think you guys would be close with FIU
