Ohio State 2002 was legit. So was Miami in 2001. Are you saying this decade started in 2001? Even so, OU's 2000 title was also legit.
But starting in 2003, that's when the champion controversy started and has pretty much never ended.

Ohio State needed their savior Terry Porter to throw a late flag as Coker was hoisting the trophy.
In 2001 Miami played the absolute worst BCS NCG opponent, a team that not only didnt win their conference but didnt even win their division.

OSU's title win over Miami wasn't exactly clean. I think most people still believe if those two teams played 10 times, Miami would win 9.

Oh I won't deny OSU played out of their minds in that title game to win it and there were bad calls going both ways. I believe UM wins 8 out of 10 times they play, but all that matters is the 1.

Also, in 2000 when Miami should have been in the title game since they beat FSU, Washington was 10-1 and beat Miami.. so obviously that logic doesn't work out lol

This thread is retarded. What makes a "legit" national champion? All those teams won a National Championship game they played in via the rules of the system.
Is NC State's BBall National Championship legit? I mean they were above average all year long and a bunch of better teams didn't win the title.
