If Boston traded the 1st pick this year before the draft does it have to be for players only?
But on Draft night they could take Ball, then trade his rights for someone else's and picks?

BUT come on. Whoever goes number 1 gets to
1)play for a Top 5-10 franchise in all of sports
2)A top 2 coach in the NBA (probably one if you account for age and future)
3) And immediately play for a contender.
its not like the Timberwolves have the first pick.

Yeah, I don't get not wanting to play for the Celtics. You're going to get great coaching, probably great development, you're in Boston, which is a great city, and you're playing for a marquee franchise.

The Boston media would kill the kid and his dad. New York has a vicious media, but they at least protect stars. Boston seems to take joy in crushing even successful players. The only players I can't recall them ripping is Ortiz, Bird, and Neely.
