Tech is just such a better program. I was feeling good about the team after our performance against Kentucky but we have not played well since. It may be a long season for us

Wasn't this same conversation had last year? I think ULL has a good Sun Belt program, but unfortunately that is what it is. I have made my way to watch conference games in different conferences and the Sun Belt and Southland game speed is pretty dang close, the other G5s are just a notch faster\bigger\stronger.

I don't think our problem is with the athletes. It's almost all on coaching/schemes and poor line play. Our skill guys match up extremely well with nearly every other G5 school.

Tech is clearly no.2 in the state right now and for most of the last few decades.

I think the WR's are garbage outside of Fuselier.

Same story with ULL every year. Lose in OOC, beat up on a terrible conference, beat a team that is too busy partying on Bourbon to show up in the NOLA bowl, use that to artificially inflate confidence, get crushed again early the next season, repeat.

That's not true. Jamal Robinson has an NFL build and talent, his problems are all mental right now. Devin Scott and Al Riles are both burners. Keenan Barnes and Michael Jacquet are two young guys who should be used more, both have very good size and speed. You'd never know how good any of those guys are though because our QBs have 1.5 seconds to survey the field before they're getting hit and when they do have time, they receivers are running the same 2 routes over and over.

Jay Johnson looked to have promise as a playcaller during his first season but he's been mostly shite for the last two years.

Elijah McGuire is every offensive coordinator's wet dream but Jay Johnson is a frickwad.

I thought watching this year and last years games Techs lines owned the Cajuns, and in open space other than Macguire the Cajuns were a tick to slow. Didn't that 158lb receiver break quite a few tackles on your lb and safeties? I'm not saying that CUSA is elite, but watching I saw one maybe two Cajuns that were physically on the same level as the Tech guys, IMHO.

Our tackling hasn't been great but those Tech guys were catching the ball while wide open. If you put out skill guys in that offense, they'd be making our defense look foolish as well. I'm not saying the Tech receivers aren't good, they're obviously good. I'm just saying our skill guys have no chance to show anything because the coaches are basically setting them up to fail.

If Jamal Robinson was on Tech's team tonight, he could have had 200 yards receiving.

The Ragins main problems are that they don't have a plus QB and they don't have a defense.

Looking over rosters like La Tech and resurgent USM, and I note several transfers. (Akron had a bunch too).
Hud had a recruiting niche when he first started with that Miss JC; he also got a couple of key transfers. Is that still occurring?
Tech also has a ton of redshirts. That's impressive being able to do that.

We have a few transfers. Otha Peters is a linebacker, transfer from Arkansas. Jeryl Brazil CB from LSU, among a couple of others.

All of Bustle's boys are out the program. Not surprised.

Might be time for the S&C coach to cut his forehead then stand on the sidelines with blood running down his face
