I remember a favorite team check in thread at the beginning of the season, would be a good reference.

I feel bad for Nats fans but don't know how you could continue to support a franchise that did what they did last year.

You mean stick to a long term plan rather than potentially sacrifice the career of a great player? Was Stras going to pitch the ninth inning of game 5?

They lost game 2 12-4, and game 3 8-0. Sorry, no way I look at last post season and believe Strasburg was the missing piece to the puzzle. He would have pitched game 1, which they won anyway.

The Nats had a plan before the post season that once he pitches his limit he's done no matter what. Scott White explains reasoning in his most recent article. LINK

Chipper told them not to do it, it was a curse just like Chipper retiring became the curse of "you shouldn't have retired, we have an 11 game lead at the end of July"

This season sucks but I expected it. I figured last season was an aberration. There's always future years.

Their plan was terrible, their execution inexcusable, and their reasoning was largely baseless.

In sports you win when you can. Never know when you might get another chance and for the Nats it sure as hell isn't gonna be this year and with their lack of dedication to doing so probably won't be anytime in the future either.

It has been a terrible season, but it has had nothing to do with pitching.

Our offense sucks, plain and simple.

We have been missing a leadoff hitter for a long time, and got Span, and he has underperformed, but I like the long term.

Between Morse and Laroche, we went with Laroche. His D is still great, but he has sucked at the plate.

Espy got demoted, and not sure what the long term for him is.

We need to go out and get a big bat, but I am still optimistic on the future.

We will be back, and f@ck Atlanta

So maybe he pitches game 1, and then whoever actually started game 1 (Gio?) pitches game 2 instead and doesn't give up 12 runs. Perhaps the gNats go up 2-0?

Espy is done. Until Laroche moves on, it's Zim at 3rd and Ant at 2nd.

They way over performed last year. This year is what last year was supposed to be. I don't know where they go from here. They're actually pretty solid at every position, just have a lot of guys going in to slumps all at the same time.
