and before I get bitched at for not posting my list, I haven't watched too many teams play yet so it would be uneducated

The Detroit Lions went 4-0 in the preseason, and then 0-16 in the regular season. It doesn't matter at all.

Are there not CFB polls released before teams even attempt to line up against each other??? frick off

KC, Minnesota, and Philly have looked good. I think all three make the playoffs.

Thanks, this is the type of input I was looking for... From people unlike me who have watched more than the saints play

And the 1985 Bears didn't win a pre-season game.

No problem. Is the preseason mostly meaningless? Yes, but there's still a lot you can learn. These three teams got good offseason hype too, so it's not just on preseason, but they have looked like well built squads top to bottom.
The 9-7 Giants beat the 16-0 Patriots in the Super Bowl, is the regular season meaningless too?

Then just exclude the preseason thing. I think Bradford is going to be really good if he stays healthy, and I like Minny and Arizona, along with KC. I just don't think you can value anything from the preseason really. Most good quarterbacks aren't even in the game long enough to get in a rhythm and if a starter has any injury whatsoever they're almost always going to be out.

As much as I hate to say it, I think the Saints could be in for a long season.
The offense should still be good, even with the loss of PT23, Graham, and Stills. I think we bolstered the Oline and that will help out Mr. Brees.
My concern is the defense. I haven't seen much pass rush and I don't feel comfortable with the secondary. If we don't get a rush and leave the DBs with a long time to cover, I don't think that bodes well for us. On paper they could be good, but Browner is hurt, I haven't seen much of Breaux, and Lewis hasn't looked that good to this point.
I think Pittsburgh will finish behind the Browns and will miss the playoffs. Their D looks almost as bad as the Saints.
Redskins will suck (not really going out on a limb)
I think if Carson Palmer stays healthy the Cards win the west.
I think the Lions win their division. Minnesota looks to have a good bit of momentum as well.

In his title he specifically says "after 3 weeks of preseason".
It's not hard to see the confusion.

Can you only pick contenders/pretenders after the first regular season game?
It's pretty futile trying to do it anytime before then
