Whatever it is, just have their parents march in front of the LHSAA office and they will lift the penalties. It's worked before.

Did they already fight or are they planning to fight?

The way it started was we had the ball as the last few seconds were ticking off the clock and one of our players got trapped on the sideline and he triple threated the ball and ripped through to get himself some room and hit one of the guys in face. Well the opponent guy shoved our guy into our bench, then chaos broke out. Both benches cleared and there was lots of pushing and shoving for a few minutes before they were separated.

Can we expect any suspensions for our team for our game tomorrow or Tuesday, or even worse our first round playoff game when they start on the 28th?

Edit...we were winning 77-33
TIA

I would hope so.

We had a fight break out during the handshake line and the LHSAA let both teams handle it internally. It boiled down to a couple 1 game suspensions for players on both teams.

We had a benches clearing brawl when I was high school during a basketball game. I was a member of one of the teams.

We never had anything come from the LHSAA as far as I remember. Both schools handled the the discipline, as well as the police as one of our players was knocked unconscious and began to seize.

I think our center got suspended and one kid from the stands. That was it I think.

I just can't see the LHSAA making a ruling today for our game tomorrow, and I doubt the LHSAA would meet this weekend to make a ruling for our game on Tuesday. So that makes me think that if there is a suspension handed down, it will be for our first round playoff game on the 28th.

Do you think that's the most realistic scenario?

TIA

It's more likely your school will handle it.

If the officials were still there and properly documented the players involved, they will submit that paperwork to the LHSAA and suspensions will be coming..... The officials still have jurisdiction after the game given that they are still within the visual confines of the playing court.

St freds/ cedar creek 07 actually.

One of CC's forwards called our center the n word before pushing him. Our center swung and it was on. Didn't last long. Benches cleared mostly to break it up honestly.

I don't think the LSHAA has to "make a ruling".... It's part of the rules that if a player is ejected (or in this case assessed a flagrant technical for fighting after the game) it's a one game suspension.

Dealt with a similar incident as a coach.

Discipline was handled by the principals, LHSAA never got involved in the manner. If I had to guess, they probably were never made aware.
