The split will never end, until the select side realizes their wrongdoings, and tries to come up with better solutions, than just bashing the non selects.

Bashing the non selects, and getting media outlets, like the LA prep scoreboard to bash kids and anyone who agrees with the non selects, isn’t going to solve anything. Until then, the split will remain. Good school board districts shouldn’t be punished, by having all their kids being recruited by schools from neighboring parishes.

Just get rid of the split.

Some have speculated that the move to greatly increase the Select membership is part of a plan that will eventually result in going back to a unified playoffs. I hope that ends up being the case.

This. Warren Easton is probably the worst recruiter in NOLA now

Or until those who have been pointing the finger for so long realize that they do in fact qualify as a select school. Which is exactly the case as we speak.

You show up in every split thread spouting this bs and I’ll show up every time to say this:

Public schools do not own kids that live in their area. They can go wherever they want. If it’s the best fit for them to go to a select, that is their choice. Every single student is recruited at private schools, not just football.

Agreed. This is exactly how the split should have been from the beginning.

Come on, let’s not act like coaches and schools aren’t abusing this for their own benefit of winning football games, or whatever other sport it is.

No one is saying they own kids, that’s BS. It’s just how should schools, who can get kids from anywhere, be allowed to compete with schools who have no other choice, than to take the kids who go there? It’s not their fault they have good schools.

UHigh 25-0. Don’t think Collins has completed a pass yet. Maybe completed a swing pass on the last possession.

Woodlawn's field is jacked. They may be playing all of their games on the road. This is why they are playing tonight.

I guarantee you Collins is sore today. He took a beating from U-High's defense.

This is the argument I hear from people that are against giving children the opportunity to go to the best possible high school via state vouchers and the like.

It's a crazy argument that I've long believed was driven a lot by athletics especially in south LA. This seems to put some teeth in my theory.
