5A: West Monroe
4A: Neville
3A: Jena
2A: Kinder
1A: Haynesville
Division I: Rummel
Division II: University (I also see Teurlings being a dark horse in this one)
Division III: Notre Dame
Division IV: Vermilion Catholic

West Monroe & Ponchatoula will make for a good 2nd round matchup

General Trass 0-10
Mentorship Academy 0-10
North Central 0-10
East Iberville 0-9
Merryville 2-8
Sophie Wright 1-8
Rosepine 1-9

All in the playoffs and a total joke. Along with teams receiving byes and a select 1 playoff that is composed of the NOLA Catholic League with Catholic BR and Evangel Christian thrown in for good measure.
This will be the end of Louisiana football played at the level that it was played for the last sixty years.

Damn, looks like Parkway would get Acadiana in the 2nd round, but at least it's at home.

Don't worry. They're about to fix it, but you won't like either of the solutions

Can we go back to the old Divisions? This is just stupid. Please explain me the rationale behind having 9 "State Champions"?

Looks like a manageable road to the dome for Riverside.

I'd say it has more to do with evening the playing field. Why should public school x have to play private school y in the playoffs when private school y has a crazy advantage of being able to recruit players. The main problem I see is that it's not split for other sports and it should.

Yep.

Making kids play a worthless extra game and possible injury. It's sick

I love this logic In most states, the Public and Privates are split because the PUBLIC schools have the advantage. You know why? Because they can offer FREE education. If the public schools were worth a flying shite they would dominate here too. Look at the public schools in this state that are worth a shite academically: West Monroe, Acadiana, Barbe etc etc. They have great programs. Public schools need to get their shite together and realize they are the ones with the true advantage

If you live in NOLA or Jefferson, you have to send your kid to private schools. Destrehan and Hahnville lose kids to the privates but still do well, and if your kid is in AP and Honors course they get as good an Education as just about any private not named Jesuit.

Oh and recruiting is not solely a private school thing either.

Bingo. The Public schools hold the advantage. Always have always will. Louisiana is about the only state where privates can even hang with the public schools. And there is nobody to blame but the public schools themselves. Living in Nashville, the private school kids would get hurt if they took the same field as the public schools

I said this the first time we played Landry Walker... we had a chance despite being the less talented team bc we knew what we were doing more than them... and go figure we won. We rolled through the other district teams with the exception of Ehret and it proves your point...

You did as much research as Dr. Griffin (the drafter of the Proposal), which is to say, none whatsoever.
