from the school or if they appeal then they release some info. Ever since they got the R word thrown at them when they pummeled two schools a few years back they changed it to the just the EC knowing and not releasing it.

what school - because people at the school know and it's pretty obvious when a team has to give back trophies.

Light years better than other organizations and don't forget principals make the rules and in large part hand down the sanctions.

classic people bitch when they don't enforce the rules and then bitch when they do.

Courts have already ruled that the LHSAA is not a "public" institution--even though public schools have spent a countless amount of taxpayer dollars on LHSAA membership fees over the years--and therefore it does not have to release any information to the general public.

However, at least theoretically, you could file a Freedom of Information Act request with the respective public school system to see just what the LHSAA mailed/e-mailed/faxed over to their schools. Some schools may try to play dumb and claim that they already discarded or otherwise misplaced the documents and can't provide them to you. Don't give in to that.

Now, private schools, on the other hand, are a different issue all together.

The hidden reason that we have the split… laws such as FOIA and more affect public and private schools differently… and not all are subject to them…

negative - because back before the split all violations and sanctions were openly reported, the shroud came out after Su Lab and McKinley got hammered. We have the split because when JC and ECA got sent down to their enrollment classes nobody not named JC and ECA won state in football and the carnage was worse that the everybody gets in the playoffs days.

I believe John Curtis still has one that they were to give back.

True but it wasn’t like Curtis and ECA were doing something Newman or Pope John Paul couldn’t do for example

LHSAA suspended their coach Randy Livingston. Randy then sued the LHSAA. A district court then issued a restraining order against the LHSAA which allowed him to return.

Newman will play a semifinal game today at 2:45.

Yeah they just smashed my knights who have a good team this year. That Newman team is a joke. Obviously talented but come on...

But that’s just about the coach

Newman was banned from the playoffs and then let back in

They have an NBA frontline and if that makes them happy beating lesser competition then good for them. I saw them play earlier in the year, still not impressed with Randy's coaching ability. Maybe LSU needs to get him as their recruiter. U High is very well coached an may pull off a big surprise. Anything can happen in one game.

Of all the things that are wrong with Louisiana, LHSAA is at the top. We have the most F'd high school athletic system and rules in the country.
