Here is some articles. Seems like everyone has differing opinions on what should be done about the playoffs. Some interesting items will be brought up in January including parish-wide attendance zones, 8 man football for A, B and C, a formula to force competitive teams to move up, and a few other items.

Allowing each class to vote independently on the split is the biggest cop out crap ever. Basically, these schools are saying we want it like it was but only if we know we don't have to be in the brackets with JC and ECA.
Why don't they just say raise your hand if you have the nuts to play in the big boys bracket and make that 1 playoff bracket. Let everybody else play for 2nd place.
Im a UHS guy and am damn glad we get to play Curtis in the dome. Realize we are a big underdog but we are playing for a title that means something.

Because your school recruits. Your school is part of the issue but is just late to the party.

hahah I have yes, people do mention it i'm aware.
Yes there was a 16 year beatdown in football no doubt. But then EHS started competing and then won, then the EHS middle school starting winning and UHS had enough of that. EHS had a 27 game win streak in bball till last year. Rivalry ended when these new recruits didnt care about playing EHS and then they had so many new students they had to move up in football, then said we arent scheduling you in anything. just a little sad

Good point here. The little known fact about the rivalry is EHS used to win in most everything besides football. It's a shame this rivalry has been lost because of their football recruiting has taken over the big picture.

Looks like the rumor I'd heard on other boards, that Kenny Henderson's idea of a fix was to run split-brackets only for 2A-3A, seems to have been on the money.

UHIGH is not a huge underdog.
only thing i truly disagree with, they can win that game.
How did that get so good so quickly? well..

3A-C is more votes than 4A-5A last I heard...
i'm interested in the soccer power ratings proposals, needing 2/3 to change the LHSAA constitution, and changing the attendance zones to home parishes...

Owl, try Laprepsoccer for the schedule.
I looked but Chalmette doesn't look like their full schedule was submitted.

I'm interested to see this formula that moves you up if you win state. Eventually JC UHigh and ECA will be in 5a.
