Didn't realize there were some games today.

Ben Franklin beat 4A powerhouse Salmen. They will face Bossier after they upended Neville.

Og Snoclaf! Girlfriend is a Franklin grad.

I'm amazed they're doing that well in a real sport like basketball. Girls soccer is going for something like their fourth state title too. They're not just nerds, apparently.

Salmen was down this year. Just kinda of shocking thought Carlin would have them playing great ball to close the year.

Well they did lose by only 1.

You'd better beat Coach Carlin when you have better players than he does because if he has equal or better players, he will beat you 99 out of 100 times.

WM surprisingly kept it within a puncher's chance for 2.5 quarters, by knocking down some timely 3's. But ultimately, St Aug was too athletic and skilled, and they ultimately asserted their will on WM. Within 3-4 mins, a 6 point game turned into a 20+ Point blowout.

St Aug really played lax against an inferior opponent. Not many teams in 5A can rival their two wings, but a team with skilled bigs will give them fits.

we beat Walker 85-70 for the first ever boys sports playoff win in class 5A for the Owls...

the game was decided when we solved the Walker press with Mitch Rob on the bench in the late 3rd and early 4th with 4 fouls... they had cut a 19 point lead down to 7 at one point and the packed home crowd was jumping. Carlton Campbell and Blake Coker found open guys for timely buckets that bought us a couple minutes for Mitch to come back in midway through the 4th quarter to seal it on the defensive end

next is Natchitoches Central in what should be a quarter or semifinal being played in round 2...

My school still can't that first boys basketball playoff win.

Pretty ugly loss tonight and several technicals and ejections to boot.
