There are currently ________ males walking the earth who would beat pre-pregnancy Serena Williams n a tennis match.
Please fill in the blank, and provide a rationale to support your number if you want.

I always thought it's 300, but have been convinced in the past few years that it's more like 1,000.

1,500+.
I'm not even sure why this s controversial in the least. It does not make her any less accomplished or dominating in her own right.

0 because genders don't play sports.

At least 1,000 pros. And probably another 500 or so that are in college now. And toss in another 200 retired pros.

Could any woman in the world make an NBA roster? No, and that's 450 men, mostly from the same country.
Could any woman make a Euroleague roster? No, and that's 250 more people.
Could any woman make a D-league roster? No, and that's 286 players.
So between the NBA, Euroleague, and D-League, that's nearly 1,000 players that are better than any woman on Earth.
Not to mention all of the other various basketball leagues around the world and in college who have better players than any woman.
We're now talking thousands and thousands of players better than any woman.
Now, basketball isn't tennis, but I used it to show how large the gap is between men and women in sport.

Are there really 1,000 pro tennis players?

20 would not let her win a game.
200 would not let her win a set.
2,000 would beat her in a five set match.

Another event dubbed a "Battle of the Sexes" took place during the 1998 Australian Open between Karsten Braasch and the Williams sisters.
Venus and Serena Williams had claimed that they could beat any male player ranked outside the world's top 200, so Braasch, then ranked 203rd, challenged them both.
Braasch was described by one journalist as "a man whose training regime centered around a pack of cigarettes and more than a couple bottles of ice cold lager".
The matches took place on court number 12 in Melbourne Park, after Braasch had finished a round of golf and two beers. He first took on Serena and after leading 5–0, beat her 6–1. Venus then walked on court and again Braasch was victorious, this time winning 6–2.
Braasch said afterwards, "500 and above, no chance". He added that he had played like someone ranked 600th in order to keep the game "fun".
Braasch said the big difference was that men can chase down shots much easier, and that men put spin on the ball that the women can't handle. The Williams sisters adjusted their claim to beating men outside the top 350.
