Rumors going around the Yankees may put
- Beltran
- A. Miller
- A. Chapman

all on the block to get more youth in their system.
Chapman and Miller will bring back a nice package of prospects and with Beltran hitting the way he has he can be great for a team like the White Sox who can DH him. Baltimore may even take a look at him.

Chapman and Miller obviously could help pretty much any team in the playoff picture.

Other targets:
- Rich Hill Oakland
- Jed Lowrie Oakland
- Chris Coghlan Oakland
Maybe Oakland would move Gray as well?
- Colby Rasmus Houston
- Jay Bruce Cincinnati
- James Shields San Diego
- Melvin Upton Jr San Diego
- Derek Norris San Diego
- Aaron Hill Milwaukee
- Jonathan Lucroy Milwaukee

obviously, there are several teams that could make a move as well. Doesn't appear to be any real different makers this year.

This may be the first year in a while that the Marlins will be buyers. James Shields would be nice to pick up

Andrew Miller on the Cubs would make them nearly flawless.

Here's a cool Andrew Miller article from Fangraphs this week. Basic premise is that Miller has a higher swing rate against him on pitches out the zone, than in the zone, which is crazy.

Na. Viz will stay. Julio may be too good a chip not to deal.

Don't think the Braves deal him...
Young on a team-friendly contract...

They will try to move Markakais, Aybar, and AJ I'm sure but none of those bring in a haul of prospects. Could move some from their bullpen in Grilli, O'Flaherty, and Norris as well.

Markakis may be worth a C+ prospect; AJ and Aybar are worth zero real prospects.

Would Miller or Chapman fetch a better return?

Miller......he has more team control (at a below market rate) left. Plus he has more flexibility since he isn't dead set on having to close

I have dreams about the Cubs landing Miller.

What would it take is the question? Would they want a young guy like Gleyber Torres or eloy Jimenez, or a more MLB ready guy? I can't see them dealing Soler or Baez at this point. I bet they'd love Dan Vogelbach hitting with that RF fence there

Miller will probably cost too much in return. I'm sure the Rockies will be looking to flip Jake Mcgee. It seems like the Cubs tried to get him from the rays but just wouldn't give them Baez or Soler.

Have high hopes that Texas trades for Chapman.

Farm system is stacked, so prospects wouldn't be an issue.

Yup, the lack of a strong left-handed reliever is their only weakness.

I also would want the Cubs to get Rich Hill if anyone goes down, but then again, Rich Hill is the most likely to get hurt.

Anyone have a site with updated and exact lists for 2017 free agents?

each site i check has less or more than the other

If you have a player in late 20's, ur looking to unload, this will be the deadline. A lot of old power bats in free agency, not worth the deals they will demand and get.

Sox will probably grab a pitcher. Buchholz is on his way to the bullpen (why I have no fricking idea) and Kelly just cannot be relied upon.

Not sure, the 2 i used, pretty much took the place of that older site who tracked all professional sports salaries(team/players/cap hit) and closed in past couple years.
