Well Murphy is injured. LeMahieu is trying to secure the batting title. Be nice if he just nutted up and played.

Somewhat related, I wonder if LeMahieu gets a longer term extension this year. He's arb eligible after next year and a free agent after 2018. Due 4.8m next year from his previous deal

I know he could potentially lose it by playing, but he could also win it convincingly. I wish Murphy was healthy so they could both play and see what happens on the field

How so? He has earned the right to sit due to his stellar play during the season. He has put himself in this position and if he wants to sit for a few games to secure the batting title then he should do it while giving zero fricks

The Rox are playing a totally meaningless series against the Brewers this weekend. It'd be really lame if he played and lost the batting title to a guy who has two pinch hit ABs in the last two weeks.

I don't really care if he sits, but I think I would be less apathetic if D-Murph was out there playing and DJ wasn't. Given they both aren't playing, I don't really see it as some big problem. The Rockies were eliminated in like February right?
